We’ll create a variation of the “Dense Fog” template with lighter fog conditions and slightly more wind - perfect for atmospheric shots without completely obscured views.

  1. Navigate to Rules from your dashboard
  2. Click “Create New Rule”
  3. Choose “Custom Builder” to build from scratch
  4. Enter rule name: Light Fog Atmosphere

Configure these parameters to create your custom fog rule:

Fog Probability

  • Minimum: 70% (vs. Dense Fog template’s 80%+)
  • This allows lighter atmospheric conditions

Wind Speed

  • Maximum: 4 m/s (vs. Dense Fog template’s 2 m/s)
  • Slightly more wind for dynamic fog movement

Precipitation Probability

  • Maximum: 10%
  • Low chance of rain maintains atmospheric conditions

Timing

  • Golden Hour: Morning only
  • Best lighting through fog
  1. Click “Save Rule”
  2. Enable for your desired locations
  3. Your rule starts monitoring immediately

Your rule starts monitoring immediately and will send you email notifications when light fog conditions are detected. You can expect your first opportunities within a few days to a week, depending on local weather patterns.
